We left for JK Jam 2009 on Thursday at around noon to make the 2200 mile trip from Ontario to Utah. While driving through Nebraska on day two, we hit a huge storm that ended up closing the highway down until noon on Saturday. When we finally got on the road again, we made our way through Colorado and arrived in Moab just as the sun was setting on Sunday. After unloading, we kicked back for some R&R waiting for the first day of wheeling on Monday.
We woke up in the morning to a bright and sunny spring day and headed out to meet up with some guys from Four Wheel Parts who were going to be our tour guides for the day. They didn't mention that the first trail we were going to hit was "Hell's Revenge." Let's just say this was a quick way to get over our fears and just hit the obstacles without looking back. We had a great time with everyone and had the cameras out at every turn to catch a shot of each section. The first climb that ran right next to the lions back was pretty intense.
We were all really impressed with what the Jeep was able to cover with little or no effort. After rolling around for a number of hours and stopping and chatting with the other Jeepers, we felt right at home and couldn't wait to see what other trails and adventures we'd come across in the days to follow.
